Hi all, here the leaves are falling and the weather is turning cool. This is the perfect time to curl up next to a warm fire and read a book.
My new release DANGEROUS MOVES The Dangerous Series Book 4 is ready.
If she makes the wrong move, it could be her last!
Reviews of the Reggi Allder's Dangerous Series:
“An enthralling read that takes you in from the first sentence.”
“Romantic Suspense from the beginning to the thrilling end!”
“Real-to-life characters take you away!”
"Intense."
Marty Costello needs a vacation. After a tough, near-fatal assignment, she must decide if remaining with a black ops team is her best move. She looks forward to a week in San Francisco. She’ll explore the Bay Area Beaches, walk the Golden Gate Bridge, and eat fresh seafood, and the famous sourdough bread. No career decisions need to be made until after Marty clears her head.
On her first night in town, she is attacked from behind in a parking lot by a couple of thugs who try to steal her bag. A stranger chases off the men. But she is suspicious. He is too handsome and it is too convenient that he appears right when she needs someone. Marty sees him again the next day. Is that by chance? In her line of work, she doesn’t believe in coincidence.
Still, if meeting her is part of his plan to get near the black ops team, maybe she should stay close enough to discover what he wants.

Excerpt:
Driving from Marin County to San Francisco, traffic sped south toward the Golden Gate Bridge, until the Waldo Tunnel, now the Robin Williams Rainbow Tunnel. As Marty neared it, gridlock kicked in and almost halted all vehicles. She wouldn’t have minded if the view of the bay and San Francisco had spread out in a vista before her. However, it was summer, and tonight a thick blanket of fog hid the panorama. A foghorn blared to all ships entering the bay to slow down.
A snippet of conversation from tonight played in her mind. Hudson Blake, Hud, as he liked to be called, connected with her spending most of her younger life working out in the gym, though as a swimmer he was in the pool with only strengthening exercises in the weight room.
At one time, both were part of the US Olympic team, so they shared their adventures traveling to tournaments all across the country and the world. She laughed about the night she spent running around the O' Hare International Airport with her teammates because their plane was grounded due to bad weather. Now, she realized those were the good old days, when young and innocent, she didn’t comprehend world politics and the dangers it created.
Hud seemed to enjoy hearing her stories and spoke fondly of his escapades with his teammates. He continued to keep in touch with a few of his buddies. Some had joined the Coast Guard when he did.
Thinking about tomorrow, to her surprise, she wanted to meet Hud again and was even looking forward to it. Though her dates were few and far between, she hadn’t felt a connection to the other men as she did with him.
Back in the city on Lombard Street, she drove through an intersection on a green light, when a van ran the red light. Marty stomped on the brakes and her car skittered to a halt, slamming her forward and almost causing her to hit her head on the steering wheel. The seat belt dug into her shoulder as it tightened to keep her safe.
The
van sped off without a glance in Marty’s direction. A man in an SUV behind her
honked and yelled for her to move on as the light was about to turn red. Marty
cursed under her breath but ignored the pain in her shoulder, as she
drove to her condo.
No more daydreaming. Hit broadside, you might have been killed in this compact sedan. She slowed and focused on the road.
At her rental, Marty tossed her bag on a chair. Without turning on the lights, she walked to the deck and stared at the full moon as the mist moved with the wind off the bay. The sight had its own beauty even though the Golden Gate Bridge couldn’t be seen. Glancing to the street, she saw no one watching her.
She sighed with relief. Maybe this was going to be an agreeable vacation after all.
